Document translation

Translation of document and advertising booklet. Is there a difference?

Yes, certainly. Difference in translation approach. When accepting your documents for translation, our manager will definitely ask what the translation is for.  And that is not an idle curiosity!
When translating a document, it is important to observe accuracy, stylistic variances are not allowed. The documents are often hard to read, full of legal terms, but translator has no right to change or add anything.
Furthermore, different authorities impose different translation requirements. For instance, notary public or banking institution would most probably require agreement translation in two column form, i.e. original text and its translation have parallel layout.
Another example: the Embassies of Germany and Austrian Republic place totally different demands for German translation of standard documents, and we must take it into account.
Experienced translator knows that Spanish translations of documents submitted to the Embassies of Spain and Cuba vary a lot, as their requirements differ.
When translating documents it is extremely important to translate names contained therein correctly. The slightest discrepancy with passport or other ID may cause further difficulties in any authority. In the first place, the document has to be clear, all stamps and seals must be translated. Special attention is given to translation of proper names and accuracy of facts described. The style is at the bottom of priority.
